MADDY'S VERY SPECIAL 1st BIRTHDAY

Aloha! Happy Wednesday Everyone,

I have more pictures sent into us from a client I met a few weeks ago. She wanted me to help plan her daughter's first birthday party being help at the Waialae Country Club. We met for a tasting where she tries lots of different flavors for her cupcakes that were used for centerpieces at each table. She also tried some flavors for this cute teapot cake and also cookies for a cookie decorating party.

I had fun at this tasting talking about all the different options. I knew this party was going to be fun. The invitations were made to look like a tea bag in brown, different shades of pink and ivory. It was a super cute idea.

So we decided to go with 4 different flavors of cupcakes all matching int he color theme. The cupcakes had polka dots on top and were placed on cute cupcakes stands with matching balloons tied to it.

The cake was a large tea pot sitting on another cake. Again using the same colors and polka dot theme.

We choose 4 different shapes of cookies within the tea pot theme...tea pots, tea cups, Topsy Turvy cake and a mad hatter hat. From the looks of the pictures the kids had fun decorating the cookies.

One thing I noticed at this event was another activity vendor. I have never seen this before and thought it was a great idea. Hat making. This company is called HAPPENIN HATS. Michelle set up a table with bins of all kinds of flowers and things to glue onto these really cool hats. This is a creative, fun and interactive activity that is different from the rest. Check them out online or call Michelle at 808.375.3674 for more information.

I want to thank Marie for sending me over these pictures.

I also want to share the awesome email Marie sent to me.
Hi Vicki,
I'm so sorry not to email you sooner. Please do not let me silence be any representation of how we feel about your cake, cupcakes and cookies, because they were completely awesome! We got tremendous feedback about how cute(and delicious!) the cupcakes were and how utterly amazing the cake was. I completely agree. Del and I ate the cake with some family the next day (and stashed some away so that we could enjoy later by ourselves). The cake was even better than we expected (which is saying a lot since we were really looking forward to eating it after the samples you gave us)! While we were eating it, we just kept thinking about what our next occasion might be that we may need a cake. :)

Thanks again for everything! Your work really made the party and we couldn't have been happier with your tasty treats. From your workmanship to your work ethic, you definitely deliver. I will be sure to recommend you to anyone I know looking for the best cake on the island.

Til our next cake encounter...
Marie
