MARVIN AND AMBER'S WEDDING

Aloha,

This past weekend we were honored be a part of a very sweet couple's wedding. Amber contacted me a few months ago about her wedding cake. We were able to meet and sit down and talk about what they were looking for. As soon as I met them i could tell they were very much in love. They were super sweet and nice and we had a great tasting session.

The wedding took place at The Fanger Estate located in Hauula on the Windward side of the island. I love this spot. I used to live up in Laie so I would drive past it everyday when I would go home. I always thought this space would be great for wedding just by the land and the beautiful palm tree gate. And someone did buy it and finally put up a beautiful estate. I was able to take a few pictures but they do not do this place justice.

I was also able to take a sneak peak at Amber as she got her make up down. She looked glowing and was super excited. I also got to see her dress hanging. It was beautiful. Looked like a vintage dress with the lace.

Amber and Marvin picked our popular Strawberry Guava flavor for both tiers of their cake. The colors were white and brown and we places very simple shells at the base of the cake with some sand. very simple and elegant and perfect for them.

We were glad to be apart of the wedding and we wish them many years of happiness.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY RUSSELL TANOUE!

Aloha,

I am glad to be back blogging. I lost our camera a few weeks back and have been using another camera but I dropped it and cracked the screen and now I can not unload pictures, so I went out and bought a brand new camera. And I have to say the pictures are looking good.

We have been up to so many things so stayed tuned this week for lots of information about where we will be and whats going on and of course...the cakes!

We are going to start out the week featuring the birthday cake we made for Russell Tanoue We were invited 2 weeks ago by Hawaii In Style and Bonsai to attend Zensation with some of our tasty treats. This is where we met Russell. I noticed his birthday was coming up and he was having a big bash.
So we began to design his birthday cake. A carnival, hat theme birthday party. I could make whatever I wanted so I wanted to big big big! And big is what we made. It was a lot of fun to be a part of this event.

I heard this party was packed. IF you want to read more and see more pictures you can find references on Metromix. Russell and his cake are on the front page.YAY!!
Enjoy these pictures and stayed tuned for more cakes this week!

Have a great Monday
