GERBER DAISY MEET COLOR

Aloha!
This is one of my Favorite weddings. The colors were so amazing. I met with Poppy one afternoon at her home in Kailua. I typically do not meet in clients homes but Poppy explained to me that she has children so I totally understood and decided to meet her. And I am glad i did for 2 reasons. 1. her wedding reception was taking place in her backyard and 2. her house is amazing. Poppy own her own upholstery business so you know that her furniture looks great. Her house is very unique is the design and colors. I can see why she picked the colors she did for her wedding. Pinks, Greens, oranges. All very bright shades.

She knew she wanted Gerber Daisies and color so we incorporated the cake and cupcakes for the kids with all different shades of daisies. She also purchased these cute butterfly toppers.

The reception was held in her large backyard that was decorated with paper laterns, lights and lots of color. She even thought of the kids too and set them up their on table with things to color on. Super cute idea.

I was honored to be a part of such a special couple's day. She called me a few days after to thank me and tell me how she and all her guests just loved the cake and how the kids ate all the cupcakes up!
I wish Poppy and her new family nothing but the best. They all deserve a wonderful beginning to a new life.

LANIKUHONUA UNDER THE SEA WEDDING

Aloha!
I am so excited to be able to share one of our December weddings with you all. We were lucky enough to have Christie Pham owner of Christie Pham Photograhy forward such beautiful images of Rachel and Jimmy's wedding.

Rachel contacted me all the way from Hong Kong awhile ago about her wedding. She wanted a fun whimsical under the sea cake. And she came to right place. Not only do we love sea theme cakes but to make a wedding cake that was a different and unique is what we love to do.

Rachel knew she wanted a 3 tier Topsy Turvy cake with lots of red coral and fun fish. She also wanted one of the fish to have glasses on. How cute and a great way to personalize her wedding cake. Rachel also loves strawberries and noticed our strawberry topper that looks like a bride and groom and she wanted that on top of her cake. So we made this cake happen and how cute is it?

When we went to deliver the cake, the guests were arriving and we got so many compliments on how cute the cake was. The set was even more beautiful. Rachel contractred the services of Dianna K. Shitanishi owner of

Hawaii Weddings and Events. The tables and tent looked absolutly beautiful.

We hope you enjoy these images as we did making the cake.

We wish Rachel and Jimmy many years of love and laughter.

LADYBUG INVASION!

Aloha!
We wanted to share a little spring time goodness for all of you who have way to much snow! We were lucky to make another cake for Vivan's Birthday. Every year it something different and we love those kind of birthdays. For this birthday she wanted a ladybug theme. Ladybugs are becoming very popular as we have 3 requests for them this year.

We also made custom ladybug cookies for her friends to take home with them. Each cookie had a personalized tag thanking them for attending her party.

Vivian treated her friends to a bowling party. Perfect fun for kids.

We can not wait for Vivian's next birthday to see what she comes up with. its so awesome to see how our clients kids grow up and how their taste change from year to year.

BIRTHDAY ELEGANCE

Aloha!
We were contacted by Stacey a while back about her birthday. Stacey and I met last year while working an event together. Stacey owns Bradley and Lily Stationary here in Honolulu.
She liked our work and wanted to order a birthday cake and cookies for her party. With the help of her friend Nicole who owns Nicole Weddings and Events also here in Honolulu, they planned a party to remember. Stacey friends and family enjoyed attending the party held at the Bayer Estate on what turned out to be a beautiful evening.
Stacey ordered a elegant and simple 2 tier cake and flower cookies for her guests to enjoy.
Happy Birthday Stacey!

Gibson '57 Les Paul Goldtop Reissue Electric Guitar

Aloha!
Among our very busy Valentine's Weekend we helped Julian celebrate his 8th birthday on Saturday. Hudson (his mom) from Star 101.9's Morning Show contacted us a few weeks ago to let us know that Julian wanted a Gibson 57 Les Paul Guitar Cake in gold. So we made him the exact cake in gold. The cake was Chocolate with Chocolate butter cream, We hand painted the base of the guitar gold and hand made all the pieces. The guitar was built in a way where we even strung real guitar strings.
Every cake we make we want perfect but this one has to be even more perfect since The Hott Family had a strong Musical background. Julian's dad is Steve Hott, you may know him from his singles on the radio and his video on MTV and owner of Bad Ass Coffee Co here in Honolulu. So we know he knows his guitars!
When we pulled up to deliver the cake, we got a lot of attention from some people in the area, most did not know it was a cake...that makes me know we did a good job! But from the looks of the pictures that Hudson sent us by the look of Julian's face with his cake, we know he loved it.
To help him celebrate Julian's party was held at The Road Runner Music Hall, (which you can rent out for parties, you should check it out). He also had some pretty cool entertainment like Jimmy Taco, from Hot 93.9 on the turntables, Nixpac dance crew performance and dance lessons after!!! Chas the great magician from the magic castle in L.A and our cake!
We know Julian will be the talk of his classmates today and we wish him the best 8th birthday and we look forward to many more birthdays to come!

NEW YEARS LOVE STORY!

Aloha!

What a great way to celebrate the new year by getting married. We love our New Years Weddings. 1, its a great way for a couple to start off a marriage and their new life together and 2, because it starts off our new year off well as well.

This year we were able to help Jada and Jason celebrate their love but making them a unique cupcakes tower. They choose our Tiramisu and Chocolate Chipotle flavors.

The cupcakes had hand rolled petals to look like a big flower. Each cupcakes had over 70 petals. We made 4 different colors to match her reception colors. And we alternated the colors on the stand.

The top tier cake had a personalized cake topper that was designed by Jada and Jason. We hand painted the look to get more of their drawing design. I also hand painted the symbol for double happiness (also designed by Jada and Jason) on top and added a few tiny flowers.

The wedding was at a family member's house in Kailua and it was beautiful. We even got a chance to see Jada and Jason and they looked so happy.

We wish Jada and Jason many years of happiness and love. We look forward to working with them again in the future.

KUNG FU PANDA!

Aloha!

We received an email from our client about her son's 1st birthday cake. She wanted a big cake to feed her guests and she wanted a Kung Fu Panda on top but not just the panda but a BIG one. She actually designed the cake herself and we brought it to life for her. The panda is holding firecrackers and he is sitting on a full sheet cake that looked like the firecrackers exploded with stars, confetti and curls. What a fun cake. The picture does not do the size justice.
