"I LOVE MY WORMS"

ALOHA!
Happy Valentine's Day Weekend. And a long holiday weekend at that! We have been super busy for Valentine's Day. The busiest one since we've been in Hawaii. We had 10 events in 2 days. Phew and now its over and we can relax...for a day anyway. We have 2 high profile events this week along with 2 very special weddings on Saturday. So stay tuned for those stories!!

I want to thank everyone who contacted us for cakes for Valentine's Day. We booked up back in November and we were not taking anymore orders for Saturday. So I apologize to all of you who I had to turn away. I may have upset some of you in the process and for that we are sorry. We only take so many cakes in a day to give our clients cakes they expect. We pride ourselves on high quality. I hope those of you who I had to turn away can understand that. I do not like to say no to anyone but sometimes I just have to draw the line. For those of you who picked up your cakes on Friday, Thank you. You made is possible for us to help you out. We hope you all enjoyed your parties and your loved ones!!

I received a call from Sheryl about a week and half ago about a cake she wanted just because she loved our green tea cake. I met Sheryl when we attended the Green Living Expo 2 weeks ago and she tries some of our samples. When she contacted me she originally wanted her cake for Saturday but I told her like many others I was totally booked but if she wanted to come and pick it up on Friday then we may be able to work something out. She was stoked that I was able to make her cake. At first she just wanted the cake. Nothing to big. Then I asked her what she was into and she told me she was a 'worm wrangler'. At first I though, what is that? Then she explained and I had a cute idea to make her a simple garden theme cake with worms on it. I asked her if she wanted anything written on her cake and she replied ' no i don't think so...then I get an email from her and she said 'yes please write "i love my worms" So this just because cake turned out to be a Valentine's cake after all. There are all kinds of love but loving your worms takes the cake.....ha...cake. get it? Cake humor!

When Sheryl and her husband David came to pick up her cake she was amazed at her cake. She could not believe she was getting a cake like what she got. She showed up with beautiful flowers for me. 3 yellow roses and some purple and pink flowers..(sorry not to sure what they are) but they are beautiful and right out of her garden. It was one of the nicest things!

She loved her cake and I hope that they enjoyed eating it as much as they enjoyed looking at it.

If you want to learn more about what worm wranglers are and how you can help the environment and your garden check out her new website at http://www.ilovemyworms.com/ It is very interesting!

Check back tomorrow for some more of our Valentine's Day cakes!! We have a lot of them!

Have a good weekend!

Vikki,
When I first saw your Green Tea Cake samples... I thought yeah, no one can make a organic/vegan cake taste good with Green Tea in it. After one bite, I was in shock and left memorized just thinking about that cake and I couldn't wait to order it again just to have one more bite.
Green Tea Cake ROCKS!!!

Thank you again for making my cake dreams come true!

Mahalo,
Sheryl & David
